All chambers of commerce are looking for enthusiastic members who are committed to collaboration, networking, knowledge sharing, and community involvement. New GGCC member Michael Stanic is all that and more, so we couldn’t be happier to welcome him onboard.
During a recent conversation with him, he was quick to mention that chamber membership is not about him. Instead, “It’s all, ‘We, we, we.’” He wants to bring to the table what he can and then ask, “What can we do together?” As he sees it, his participation benefits everybody and his “work is a two-way scenario.”
Unlike many other trades people such as electricians, plumbers, and roofers, Michael decided to join the GGCC and take advantage of what it has to offer, such as “immediate trust in a specific territory.” Rather than conducting online searches and hiring someone unfamiliar, it’s reassuring to many people to contract with an individual they met through a local organization. Michael, therefore, has an advantage over other drywall and ceiling repair experts who might not be chamber members. He wasn’t about to lose the opportunities provided by the GGCC.
Since opening about a month ago, Michael says The Patch Boys of Southern Milwaukee and Brookfield have had, “phones ringing.” Soon he hopes to meet as many people as possible in the GGCC, introduce himself, and, “See if there is anything I can help them with. Relationship building is where we are going to have the most fun.”
When asked if there was something he’d like people to know about his business, he said, “Yes. There are two things I’d like to say. First, anybody can patch drywall. The quality of our work is what separates us from the do-it-yourselfers and handymen. We do the work right, we’re professional, and we clean, clean, clean. We prep and protect all personal belongings.”
The second thing he wanted to mention is, “People are sometimes embarrassed about calling for a repair on a small, little hole. However, if something is bothering them everyday, maybe that’s something that should be attended to.”
A recent press release stated that, “Michael is deeply committed to providing top-notch services and outstanding customer care that aligns with the community’s values.” In addition, “Michael eagerly anticipates forging connections with fellow business owners in the area and offering his support in their entrepreneurial pursuits.” Fellow GGCC members will soon find out how true those words ring.
